Wow, the friendly staff really made our visit a pleasure, especially Carly at check-in who was super helpful and genuine, plus the chef went out of his way to make us a late meal! We loved the complimentary breakfast and the cozy atmosphere made it so easy for us to chill out after a long drive. Only minor hiccup was the air conditioning could use a bit of a refresh, but overall, the place was clean and comfy. 😊

Clean place with particularly nice views and great and perfect location in bar & dining area. Very comfy bed, large room with a safe box and a new carpet.

I stayed at this hotel several years ago and it was out dated and in need of refurbishment and repairs. Fortunately, it has been nicely refurbished and is far more pleasant & comfortable now !
Very noisy - we stayed on a Saturday night and there was constant noise from drunken guests returning from 12am to 5am !! Even though the hotel has been recently refurbished, it isnt being kept clean & looked after, hallways are dirty and plates of uneaten food (from room service) had been left outside rooms for 24 hrs before removed.

The walls are paper thin and there were about 60 drunk people partying till all hours of the night. I had a drunk man trying to get into my room and banging on my door for almost an hour, I reported this to the hotel staff and they didn't seem overly concerned or emphatic. I would never stay here again, horrible experience!

Room was quite.
Was quite pricey for the accommodation. The accommodation was as central as the description indicated.

i had a wonderful experience during my recent stay. the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the check-in process a breeze. i particularly appreciated the chef's kindness in preparing a meal for us after hours. as someone who follows a gluten-free diet, i was thrilled to enjoy gluten-free toast brought straight to my table. the complimentary continental breakfast was a nice touch, and the overall hospitality was exceptional.
Entirely satisfied 😊.

Nice and quiet. Good value and has everything we required.
Stating that there was a mini bar in the room and room service for meals. But apart from that everything was good.

None of the above really apply. We went for a reunion in Rockhampton. The location of the hotel was very central and convenient. The hotel staff were helpful and efficient mostly. Particularly the young man who was on duty the night of Friday 10 June, when I discovered cockroachers in the coffee/tea/sugar container. I transferred the container (when I saw things moving in it and threw it in the hand basin in the bathroom where I discovered a whole family of cockroaches. The young man then told me he would find another room for us as he sprayed the cockroaches and I was unhappy at being in a room with the spray. Our new room was not as nice as our first and the bathroom light was not working properly. Staff did try but were unable to change the recessed light bulb. The young man from reception was dismayed to find that the bathroom mirror was covered with toothpaste and came back with cleaner to clean the mirror. He apologised and said he would put in a report both about the cockroaches and the dirty mirror.
The hotel was very nicely refurbished and the decor was pleasing. When we requested flatter pillows (the ones in our room were new and a bit high for us) our pillows were immediately replaced. Thank you for that. Our stay was pleasant and we enjoyed our time in Rockhampton. It was a bit of a shame that our rooms were not as clean as we would have expected and that was a disappointment. We would probably recommend this hotel as it is very central and it is easy to walk and get around. I'd love to see some maps of Rockhampton available for hotel guests. We could have walked to several of the functions we attended if we had maps and knew where to go, instead of having to rely on taxis.

The fact the $150 was added to my credit card on top of the price of the room and then was held for nearly a week and we were not able to access this money while we were on holiday.

The decor of the rooms was lovely.
The cleaners left our room unlocked on one occassion. They also half cleaned the room.
